What happens if I need to cancel ... ?
In the event of cancellation, and insurance not taken out, the hirer will forfeit the deposit, and if accommodation remains unoccupied, full fee is payable. As this is a legal contract it is advisable to insure against cancellation.

A notice of cancellation should be made immediately by telephone, then confirmed in writing/email to P & L Thomson.
Are launderette facilities available ... ?
A laundry room is on site with coin operated washing machines, tumble dryers.
Irons and ironing boards are also available in each lodge.
Pets ... ?
Pets are welcome at a charge of £8 per night per pet, (min 2 nights £16). Dogs must be kept under strict control at all times and must not be left unattended in the Lodges. Please bring your own pet bedding and under no circumstances allow pets on furniture or beds. All pet letting properties will be checked prior to departure for pet hair etc. Please note maximum pets per unit Conifer & Ash accommodation 2 pets maximum. Poplar & Beech 1 pet per accommodation. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT LAGNAKEIL HOUSE
Children... ?
Cots and high chairs are available free of charge, please supply your own cot linen.
An indoor playroom area with many games & toys for children to play and keep themselves amused while you relax (this area is unsupervised).
There is also a large grassed play area with a double swing & separate infant swing. A larger child’s outdoor play park can be found at our local Barn bar & restaurant 10/15 minute walk, two minute drive.
There are great walks from your lodge door and waymarked forest trails close by.
Discounts ... ?
Senior citizens can claim a special discount of 10% on any one week, not available during peak periods.
Lodges: A special discount of 7% is given on a second and subsequent weeks booked.
If there are 2 or less people (or 2 & a baby) and you book a 2 bedroom Lodge you will be given a discount of £20 off your booking.
(Excludes Beech Lodge, not available during peak periods)
Ask for details of other special offers available.
NB only one discount offer can be taken at any one time, unless with prior agreement.
What if I'm arriving late?
On day of arrival please inform us if you will be arriving later than 6.00pm so arrangements can be made.
Lodge Facilities?
All accommodation is fully furnished and has excellent kitchen facilities.
All Conifer, Ash and Poplar Lodges feature dishwashers and fitted kitchens.
Colour televisions (flat screen TVs & Freesat from Sky) are in each lodge. DVDs available on request from reception.
All bedrooms feature duvets with quality bed linen and towels provided with beds being fully made up for arrival.
All lodges have private decking apart from two of the Ash lodges which have their own garden area.
Car parking is close to every lodge/cottage.

Is a telephone available ?
A public telephone box is is no longer available on site due to lack of use with onset of mobile phones. In emergency, the use of a phone can be accessed at Lagnakeil reception.
All properties get a good mobile signal, with the best mobile phone receptions being Vodafone and O2.
Can groceries be provided for my arrival?
Local Tesco, Aldi and Lidl supermarkets are only 5 minutes car journey into Oban. Tesco opening hours », Aldi opening hours », Lidl opening hours »
Tesco now offers a home delivery service to Lagnakeil Lodges or a click and collect service from the Oban store, so register now and have your shopping delivered for your arrival

What will I be charged for electricity/utilities?
No electricity & Utilities are included in accommodation costs
Do you have a good TV reception?
Yes we have installed Sky FreeSat TV channels in all our properties, giving a wide range of channels & radio. Colour flat screen televisions are in each Lodge. DVDs available on request.
Are bed linen and towels supplied?
Quality bed linen & towel sets are included (bath and hand towel), beds being made up for arrival.
Do you supply cots and highchairs?
Cots/Highchairs are available free of charge, please supply your own cot linen.
Can I smoke in the lodges and houses?
Sorry, but in line with Scottish & UK law, smoking is not allowed in public letting premises.
Is there wireless internet access (WiFi)?
Wi-Fi access is available in all properties. Laptops & iPhones will detect a wireless signal which is available for you to log on to. This is free in all lodges working on a secure network which is not owned or managed by Lagnakeil. IMPORTANT to note: Our Wi-Fi is a secure network but it is a shared network connecting you with a very limited speed so is only suitable for general web browsing and checking your webmail. No large downloads or live streaming (eg iPlayer, video clips or games) please as these will not work.
Car Parking
All lodges have their own parking space just outside the door or close to each lodge in designated parking areas. Parking does become an issue if for example 3 cars turn up for 1 lodge booking.
Other useful information
Outside Lighting: is minimal on site, it would be advisable to bring a torch.

Barbecues are available free of charge.
Washing & Dishwashing: dishwashers available in all Lodges, except Beech Lodges. Laundrette on site with coin operated washing machines, tumble dryers. Irons and ironing boards are also available in all properties.
Fishing: is free on Loch Scammadale. Rods available.
Country Pub: only a short walk up the Glen from Lagnakeil, you will find a Country Pub serving good home cooked food and fine ales. During the summer months music evenings are held. Scottish licencing laws dictate that children under the age of 14 years are not allowed in licenced premises after 8pm.
