Are launderette facilities available ... ?A laundry room is on site with coin operated washing machines, tumble dryers. Irons and ironing boards are also available in each lodge and cottage. Pets ... ?Pets are welcome at a charge of £3 per night per pet, (min 2 nights £6) Dogs must be kept under strict control at all times and must not be left unattended in the Lodges. No pets are allowed at Tigh Beg. Please bring your own pet bedding and under no circumstances allow pets on furniture or beds. All pet letting properties will be checked prior to departure for pet hair etc. Back to Top^Children... ?Cots and high chairs are available free of charge, please supply your own cot linen. An indoor playroom area has a TV, video, and many games & toys for children to play and keep themselves amused while you relax (unsupervised). A children's swing and other outdoor play items are also on site, nothing big or commercialised. Back to Top^Discounts ... ?Senior citizens can claim a special discount of 10% on any one week, not available during peak periods. Lodges: A special discount of £30.00 is given on a second and subsequent weeks booked. Cottages: A special discount of £50.00 is given on a second and subsequent weeks booked. If there are 2 or less people (or 2 & a baby) and you book a 2 bedroom
Lodge you will be given a discount of £20 off your booking. What if I'm arriving late?On day of arrival please inform us if you will be arriving later than 6.00pm so arrangements can be made. Back to Top^Lodge/Cottage Facilities?All accommodation is fully furnished and has excellent
kitchen facilities. Colour televisions (new flat screen Samsung TVs & free sat from Sky) are in each lodge and house. Video hire & film rental available on request. The cottages also provide telephone points for computing equipment. All bedrooms feature duvets with quality bed linen provided being fully made up for arrival. Car parking is close to every lodge/cottage. Back to Top^Is a telephone available ?A Public telephone box is available on the grounds. Can groceries be provided or my arrival?Unfortunately we no longer offer grocery lists with both Tesco & Co-op supermarkets only 5 minutes car journey into Oban. Both and are open Monday - Saturday 8am - 10pm and on Sunday 9am - 6pm. (Times are subject to change). Back to Top^What will I be charged for electricity/utilities?Charged by meter, read on arrival and departure,
calculated at Hydro Electricity Board rates plus 5% VAT. In the cottages there is a set charge of £10 per week for oil central heating. Cottage Fuels: initial supply of coal, logs & firelighters is included, additional supplies charged as used. Oil central heating supply in Pitstruan & Penlarach has a set weekly charge. Back to Top^Do you have a good TV reception?Yes we have installed Sky FreeSat TV channels in all our properties, giving a wide range of channels & radio. Colour flat screen televisions are in each Lodge/TV & Video/DVD in Are bed linen and towels supplied?Quality bed linen & towel sets are included (bath and hand towel), beds being made up for arrival. Back to Top^Can I smoke in the lodges and houses?Sorry, but in line with Scottish & UK law, smoking is not allowed in public letting premises. Back to Top^Is there wireless internet access?Pitsruan, Millstone & Penlarach have wireless internet access. The lodges do not at present; the nearest is at local pub The Barn which is a 2 minute drive or a 10 minute walk away. Oban has internet access from the Tourist Information Centre and the library. Back to Top^Other useful informationOutside Lighting: is minimal on site, it would be advisable to bring a torch. Supermarkets: Tesco and the co-operative are both only five minutes drive into Oban, both open: Mon - Sat 8am - 10pm, Sun 9am - 6pm. Barbecues are available free of charge. Washing & Dishwashing: dishwashers available in all Lodges & Cottages, except Beech Lodges. Laundrette on site with coin operated washing machines, tumble dryers. Cottages have their own. Irons and ironing boards are also available in all properties. Car Parking: close to every Lodge and Cottage. Fishing: is free on Loch Scammadale. Rods available. Tigh Beg has its own fishing rights from shoreline. Country Pub: only a short walk up the Glen from Lagnakeil, you will find a Country Pub serving good home cooked food and fine ales, during the summer months music evenings are held.
